Focusing this much energy and this many staff on this one critical issue was a huge project and produced an enormous, wide-ranging retrospective on the decade where we could have easily stopped our current runaway train. The main downside is its United States-centric viewpoint. Many other actors and nations have taken major steps to giving up fossil fuels (Europe anyone?) and their contributions are somewhat slighted. The New York Times is not, however, a global newspaper so it’s hard to fault them too much on this. Definitely worth sitting down for a while with this production.
