1. Never Spill While Boiling Water Again

Lifehack: Never Spill While Boiling Water Again

If you spend enough time in the kitchen, you will end up familiarizing yourself with cooking on the stovetop. Stovetop cooking can be a great way to throw together a quick meal. Unfortunately, if you get distracted while boiling your water you can end up with a mess on your hands!

To limit your exposure to messy spills from water boiling over, get in the habit of keeping a wooden spoon handy! When you step away from your boiling water, merely lay the spoon across the top of the pot. The spoon will prevent the water from overflowing while you work on other parts of your meal!

3. Say Goodbye to Cable Clutter with This Simple Binder Clip Hack

Lifehack: Say Goodbye to Cable Clutter with This Simple Binder Clip Hack

This hack is perfect for those who like to find simple solutions to everyday problems, rather than those who like fancy gadgets. I think it’s great because it’s easy to make, looks good, and keeps your cables tidy.

It was created by David Rudolf Bakker from the Netherlands, and you can easily make it yourself with a few items from your junk drawer. Just grab some binder clips, clamp them onto the edge of your desk, and thread your cables through the loops. This will prevent your cables from slipping down the back of your desk and keep them ready to be used with your notebook. Plus, the loops are big enough to prevent the cables from getting caught as you pull them through.

6. Bring Your Old Sneakers Back to Life with Toothpaste

Lifehack: Bring Your Old Sneakers Back to Life with Toothpaste

All you need is an old toothbrush and a little toothpaste to get your old sneakers looking like new! Non-gel white toothpaste works great for cleaning white-soled sneakers (colored toothpaste may stain rather than clean sneakers). Apply toothpaste to an old toothbrush and then work the paste into the dirty spots. Leave the toothpaste on the shoes for about ten minutes, and then wipe it off with a damp towel. Repeat the process if necessary.

Important: The ingredients in toothpaste may vary from brand to brand, so make sure to try this method on a small unnoticeable spot on your sneakers before applying it to the rest of the shoe.

9. Fix Wobbly Furniture with a Penny

Lifehack: Wobbly Furniture

Need to shim a wobbly bench or table, but don’t have time to run to the home center for furniture feet? No worries, just reach for your pocket change!

You can use a coin to shim wobbly furniture in a pinch. Use hot glue to attach the coin to the problem area, adding additional coins as needed. Coins work well as a temporary fix because they come in a variety of thicknesses and cost less than a dollar!

12. Eat Your Hamburger Upside Down

Lifehack: Eat Your Hamburger Upside Down

The next time you eat a giant hamburger, try turning your sandwich upside down. The tops are nearly twice as thick as the bottoms, and a lot more durable. So be smart, and eat your hamburgers upside down.

15. Instant Snack Bowl Out Of A Chip Bag

Lifehack: Instant Snack Bowl

The next time you’re at a party and someone has bags of chips laying around, impress your friends by making them into custom snack bowls. You can fold the top edge inside the bag first, then begin rolling the bottom corners, up into the base of the bag, pushing the chips up as you go. You’ll end up with a custom snack bowl, with chips overflowing.

Going to the beach and worried about your money being stolen? Here’s a simple trick. Take an empty lip balm container and remove the inside part that twists up the balm. Then, roll up your money into a small cylinder shape that fits inside the container, making sure that the money sticks up enough to easily grab it.

Depending on the size of your money and the lip balm container, you might need to fold the money in half before rolling it up. Just remember not to use the lip balm container for its original purpose, as it may have cash residue on it which doesn’t protect your lips from the sun!

21. Max Out Your Microwave

Lifehack: Max Out Your Microwave

Whether you are cooking for multiple people or merely in a hurry, using the microwave can be a ton of help. Unfortunately, most microwaves can only fit a single bowl or plate on their revolving surfaces. If you are low on time and need to heat up multiple objects, consider using this simple layout.

By using a mason jar or other glass pieces of kitchenware, you can prop up the second container of food in your microwave. You will likely need to increase your cooking time to account for the extra food, so be careful not to bite into anything that’s still cold!

24. Organize Your Freezer the Best Way

Lifehack: Organize Your Freezer the Best Way

Do you find yourself regularly buying frozen veggies? Do you find your freezer overwhelmed by several half-opened frozen food bags from past shopping trips? If you want to organize your freezer while maintaining its accessibility, consider using this life hack!

Purchase a collection of sturdy paper clips/chip bag seals for use in your freezer. As you can see in the picture, you can seel your frozen veggies while keeping them off of the surface of the freezer. Not only will you stop your food from accidentally being spilled, but you will also make your freezer appear larger than ever!

In order to hammer nails without causing injury, you simply need to incorporate a clothespin. The clothespin can be used to hold your nail in place while you size up your swing with your free hand. 30. Cool Beverages Fast With A Napkin + Freezer

Lifehack: Cool Beverages Fast With A Napkin + Freezer

Let’s say you just made it to your family cookout. Everybody is having a good time but the drinks aren’t cold. Sure, you can throw the beverages in the freezer for half an hour to chill them out, but who wants to wait that long?

In order to quickly cool down your beer or other beverage, simply wet a napkin before wrapping it around the drink’s container. With the container wrapped in wet paper, set the beverage in the freezer for 15 minutes. The napkin will accelerate the cooling process, thus leading you to a frosty drink in a fraction of the time.

Lifehack: Easiest Way To Clean Your Microwave

You don’t have to be Pam Beasley to want clean microwaves at home or in the office. Unfortunately, cleaning your microwave can be a headache in and of itself. Whether you are dealing with a nasty microwave or one that simply needs a bit of shine, this lifehack can quickly do the trick.

Simply place a full glass of water inside of your microwave before turning the machine on. Let the microwave operate as steam is generated within the machine. The steam will soften stains which will allow you to quickly and easily wipe the remaining residue away from the surface.

36. Never Struggle to Open Jars Again

Lifehack: Never Struggle to Open Jars Again

Is there anything more frustrating than struggling to open a jar? As a grown adult, it can be a little humiliating to admit that we can’t open a jar. Fortunately for us, this lifehack takes the humiliation out of the equation. This simple life hack will have you unlocking every jar with Herculean ease.

Depending on what type of jar you are opening, the lid of the container may have solidified residue beneath it. This residue will cause the lid of the jar to stick, forcing most people to use brute force to unstick it. Instead of breaking your jar or wrist, simply put adhesive tape on the lid for grip.

43. Turning a Breadclip into a Makeshift Bookmark

Lifehack: Using A Breadclip As A Makeshift Bookmark

Oh, so you don’t have a bookmark or you just lost yours? No worries! You can use one as a makeshift bookmark when you’re in that kind of situation. It’s a decent idea, isn’t it? I mean, if you’re reading a book and suddenly need a bookmark while you’re out and about, you can just reach into your wallet and grab the clip. It’s a simple solution, really.

We all, with no exemption, men and women alike, young and old, smart and stupid, use too much soap when we bathe and wash our hands. 65. Why Place a Water Bottle on Car Tire

Lifehack: Water Bottle

There are a few reasons you might want to place a water bottle on your car tire. One reason is if you’re going to be parked in direct sunlight for an extended period of time. The sun can cause the inside of your car to heat up, and placing a water bottle on your dashboard or front seat can help keep things cooler.

Another reason is if you’re driving in cold weather. Placing a frozen water bottle on your car tire can help prevent your tires from losing traction on icy roads.

We all know how hot it can get here in the summer. And one of the worst places to be is in your car. The temperature can easily soar to over 100 degrees, making it unbearable to be inside.
