Skip “Hillbilly Elegy” – a rare Ron Howard flub

Ron Howard is someone whose movies are usually reliably enjoyable without being too horribly fluffy. His adaptation of J.D. Vance’s 2016 memoir, however, appears to have dropped the ball. Altho I have not seen the movie (soon to appear on Netflix), these are just a sample of the reviews panning the movie. Surely there’s something else to watch.
