Romance Writers Association facing withdrawals by major publishers

I wrote earlier about a dispute about racism in romance novels that led to an ill-considered disciplinary action against the complainant. Despite a withdrawal of the action, major publishers have now decided not to participate in this summer’s annual conference.
Not only do they provide funding, but many attendees may decide not to come. One major mistake may wind up cratering the entire organization.
