Unfortunately, I am forced to use Windows in a PC partition on my Mac because I need it to run Quicken which still far excels over any Mac financial software. That means I keep in touch (as little as possible) with Windows news.
Since I see no reason to change versions of Windows until forced, I’m still on Windows 7. Turns out that will stop receiving any support on January 14, 2020. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/windows/end-of-windows-7-support
Ideally there would be a thoroughly stable, tested version of Windows that I could download easily and forget. Was not pleased to find out that the latest update to Windows 10 (the current version) are causing all sorts of problems.
Now, if only Quicken was available for Mac. I began with Managing Your Money. It’s been unavailable for many years (altho some people still run it: https://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/need-old-program-andrew-tobias-managing-your-money-103669/) so I have data in Quicken back to 1992. I am not alone in my plight but apparently there are not enough Mac users demanding financial software as robust as Quicken. So I continue with my partition.
