AMC has a large presence in NYC so I have three theatres relatively nearby and a few more that are doable. Since I joined almost immediately, I’m currently paying $19.95 a month for AMC’s A-List. For that one fee, I can see up to three movies a week including those in Dolby or IMAC theatres. It also entitles me to the high-speed lane for getting food and drinks, should I want any.
From an economic standpoint, it takes very little to justify joining. A single prime-time IMAX movie, even at senior rates, is more than $19.95. So it’s a no-brainer. Won’t be for everyone, but certainly worth checking out.
