I saw the documentary “Free Solo” about Alex Honnold’s free solo climb of El Capitan — an amazing feat. The film did a marvelous job showing the dedication and effort necessary to achieve that. This article not only includes photos from the Oscars and a few stills from the movie but also Alex’s TED talk, a fun interview of him immediately before the Oscars, a marvelous video where he deconstructs various climbing scenes from recent movies, and links to more.
