Ongoing dispute between reading and listening to books will never be resolved

There are some books that are simply glorious listened to — my first example is always Jim Dale reading all seven Harry Potter books — but there always a few people who insist that hearing the words doesn’t have the same value or merit as absorbing the information thru your eyes. I say “hogwash.” Which medium to use depends on the content and whether you can find a version with a good narrator.

Am also pleased to find someone with relevant credentials who’s thought about the issue and essentially reached the same conclusion albeit with more verbal trimmings and more detail.
